The time is near for, what is for many, the pinnacle of the Scottish exhibition calendar. The Royal Highland Show 2018 will fast be upon us, running from the 21st – 24th June, at its modern-day home of Ingliston.
As always, the four-day event offers one of the best opportunities for >GREAT Scottish brands to present their latest innovations, make new connections, strengthen relationships, and leave a positive lasting impression on the more than 300,000 visitors expected over the four-day event.
Denvir has a proud and successful fifteen-year history at the Royal Highland Show and will once again be there to help raise awareness and build engagement for some wonderful household Scottish brands. Below are some of the top names to look out for, and where to find them.
RETURN OF THE mac!
After some time away from the show, a favourite amongst parents and kids alike will be returning for RHS 2018. Visitors to the ASDA pavilion will be able to stop off for some much-needed free samples of macb flavoured water. It’s a full day and a long walk getting around all the RHS has to offer, so it is important to stay hydrated (especially if we get some lovely sunny weather).
Our Brand Ambassadors will be there to make sure as many visitors as possible get their free taste of macb’s naturally fruit-flavoured Scottish spring water. Our favourite is the Strawberry & Kiwi, why not stop by and give it a try!
macb Event Times:
- ASDA Pavilion – Sunday @ 10am-2pm
Worth a Butcher’s
RHS is a great day out for families so it’s only fitting that Malcolm Allan, ‘Scotland’s family butcher’, be there too. Aside from its famously tasty lorne sausage, the Malcolm Allan range now offers some more innocent options, including their ‘slimmer range’ of burgers, steak links and pork links.
Stop by the Malcolm Allan stall in the Co-op pavilion for a chat with our friendly Brand Ambassadors. They’ll be happy to tell you all about the traditional Scottish butcher’s products and serve up some of Malcolm Allan’s steak lorne!
Malcolm Allan Event Times:
- A Royal Highland Meating
One of the main events of the entire Royal Highland Show, Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) will be hosting four-days of fantastic entertainment for all the family in their unmistakeably branded Scotch Kitchen pavilion.
QMS for kids
There are loads of fun kids’ events planned throughout the weekend, aimed at raising young people’s awareness around key topics including the environment, animal welfare, and enjoying the best quality red meat as part of a healthy and balanced diet. Bring the family along and get involved in our fun kids’ activities:
- Environmental grass and soil activity with Industry Development
- Animal Welfare – Engagement with the Scottish SPCA
- Diet Discussions – Red meat as part of a healthy lifestyle
- QMS Fun & Games – Scotch Beef tattoos & QMS Wheel of Fortune
QMS Scotch Kitchen
For the ‘big kids’, there will be loads of cooking inspiration on show, with the Scotch Kitchen magazine and demonstrations from professional chefs including Lady Claire MacDonald, Jack O’Donnell, and Justin Maule.
Whether Scotch Beef, Scotch Lamb, or Specially Selected Pork is your favourite red meat, these shows will be full of great tips to get creative in the kitchen. There will also be a butchery demonstration, cook-offs, and even a pie-off.
Be sure to look out for our Brand Ambassadors. They’ll be there every day of the show, handing out free samples of tender QMS red meat and accompanying recipe cards. There will also be more of the branded t-shirts which were so popular last year. Just £3 each and all proceeds going to the Royal Highland Education Trust. They will surely sell out fast though, so you better make a bee-line for the QMS pavilion to grab yours!
QMS Event Times:
- QMS Scotch Kitchen Pavilion – Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (activities throughout the day)
